1. Information We Collect
Loopii Player only collects data that is necessary for the app to function properly:
- Spotify Account Data: When you connect your Spotify account via OAuth2, we access your playlists and liked songs. We never store your Spotify password.
- Local Music Metadata: We read metadata (title, artist, album) from your local MP3/FLAC files to display them in your library. This data stays on your device.
- Download History: A local record of your downloaded tracks is stored on your device for offline playback.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Spotify data is used solely to display your library and map tracks to YouTube/Google sources for streaming.
- No usage analytics, tracking cookies, or personal data is sent to external servers beyond what's required for Spotify API authentication.
- Your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
3. Data Storage
All your music data (playlists, downloads, cache) is stored locally on your Android device. No cloud storage of your personal music library is maintained.
4. Third-Party Services
Loopii Player interfaces with:
- Spotify Web API: For playlist/library synchronization. Governed by Spotify's Privacy Policy.
- YouTube/Google Sources: For audio streaming. No user-identifying data is shared during stream requests.
5. Permissions
The app requires storage permissions to access local music files and save downloaded tracks. These permissions are only used for the stated purposes.
